The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, on Thursday met with a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode.
It was gathered that the meeting which had in attendance other members of the National Working Committee members of the party took place at an undisclosed venue.
The development was announced in a post on Twitter by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Thursday.
“Just in: The National Chairman of our great party, prince @UcheSecondus in the company of NWC members in a meeting with former Minister of Aviation @realFFK,” Ologbodiyan tweeted.
There are speculations that the meeting is due to the report making round that Fani-Kayode was planning to defect to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Recall that Governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, in a video claimed that the former minister had shown interest in joining APC.
It, however, seems that PDP might have prevailed on the former minister to remain in the party as the PDP spokesperson quoted Fani-Kayode as saying, “If I had any concern, such concern is out of the windows already now. I’m a part of you and I will remain a part of you. — @realFFK.”
In another development, Adedapo Lam-Adesina, who represented the Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency between 2015 and 2019 in the House of Representatives, has dumped the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Naija News reports that Lam-Adesina returned to the All Progressives Congress (APC) barely three years after he left.
