One of the groups taking to the America’s Got Talent stage on the first night of auditions is none other than JoJo Siwa’s newly formed girl group, XOMG POP. After beginning their group on a competition stage, they’ve come together to compete once more.

XOMG POP hails from the Peacock competition series, Siwa’s Dance Pop Revolution which launched in November 2021. The competition created by Jessalynn and JoJo Siwa featured dancers competing for a chance to join their group, XOMG POP. The group is currently managed by Jessalynn Siwa, while JoJo Siwa creates their choreography. This group’s first gig following their creation was opening for Siwa on her D.R.E.A.M. tour.

The original series ended with XOMG POP as a group of six, but Siwa decided to bring another contestant back. In early December, XOMG POP and Siwa announced that Bella Cianni Llerena was brought back into the group as their seventh member.

The modern day group consists of seven girls between the ages of 10 and 14. XOMG POP consists of Kiya Barczyszyn, Brooklynn Pitts, Leigha Sanderson, Dallas Skye, Tinie T, Kinley Cunningham, and Bella Cianni Llerena. Since their group first formed, they’ve released three songs, “Candy Hearts,” “Merry Go Round,” and “Secret Handshake.”

On December 17, they released their first single “Candy Hearts.” Along with the song’s release to streaming, the group shared their first music video. This song peaked at No. 19 on the iTunes Chart on the day of its release.

In current day, their first music video has brought in 384,000 views since it’s release. XOMG POP has earned a total of 2.7 million followers on TikTok, 40,000 on Instagram, and 3.44 million subscribers since their creation.

Since XOMG POP appeared as part of the AGT preview, many fans of the series have questioned their involvement. Since the group is still relatively new in the pop genre, it can be assumed that they’re attempting to get their name into the general public with AGT. This group reminds me a lot of Alyssa Edward’s Beyond Belief Dance Company in season 16.

For those that may not remember, the RuPaul’s Drag Race icon took the stage to explain her dance crew’s origin. Even though the drag queen has a big name, the group wasn’t known by the general public. It feels like Siwa will introduce XOMG POP in the same way, then also let her group take over the stage. If XOMG POP follows in Beyond Belief Dance Company’s footsteps, they’ll make it into the semifinals.
