Nearly Half of Voters Support GOP Plans to Cancel New IRS Funding

As one of their first orders of business after gaining the majority in the House of Representatives, GOP lawmakers proposed legislation to cancel most of the $80 billion in new funding over 10 years earmarked in the Inflation Reduction Act for the Internal Revenue Service. A new Morning Consult survey finds that just under half of voters support the bill.
