In the top spot is Khabane "Khaby" Lane, who has 161.5 million TikTok followers. He dethroned Charli D'Amelio as the most popular account in June of 2022. Khabane only started posted on TikTok during the COVID pandemic, after he was laid off from his job. He gained popularity by sharing videos where he wordlessly mocks complicated "life hack" videos.
The Senegalese-Italian influencer was in Fortune's 40 Under 40 and Forbes 30 Under 30. His TikTok bio reads, "If u wanna laugh u r in the right place😎".
2. Charli D'Amelio (@charlidamelio)
It's hard to imagine a time when Charli D'Amelio wasn't a big name on TikTok. The Connecticut native's account boasts 152 million followers, and she's best known for her dance challenge videos.
Charli's family is also well-known among the TikTok community now too. Her sister, Dixie D'Amelio, has just under 57 million followers.
3. Bella Poarch (@bellapoarch)
Third up is Bella Poarch, who is a singer as well as a social media personality. She is the most followed TikTok influencer from the Philippines, with nearly 94 million followers.
When Bella started her account, she posted videos about gaming and cosplay, but ultimately went viral for a lip-sync video. In the video, which was the most liked video on TikTok at the time, she lip-synced to the song "Sophie Aspin Send" by Millie B.
4. MrBeast (@mrbeast)
Standing in fourth place is YouTuber, entrepreneur, and philanthropist MrBeast. His channel is filled with complex challenges and big giveaways. On YouTube, he is the most-subscribed individual, with over 240 million followers. He is the second-most subscribed channel there overall.
5. Addison Rae (@addisonre)
In fifth place is singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer Addison Rae, who is best known for her lip sync videos. She has 88.6 million followers on TikTok. Her debut single "Obsessed" gained the tenth spot in the U.S. Billboard Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart. She also acted in Netlfix's He's All That and the 2023 holiday-slasher Thanksgiving.
6. Zach King (@zachking)
Filmmaker Zach King holds the sixth-place title with 81.1 million followers! Zach's videos are incredibly entertaining, as they feature bizarre magic tricks and optical illusions that will for sure leave you scratching your head. We're warning you, you won't be able to look away...
7. Kimberly Loaiza (@kimberly.loaiza)
In seventh place is Mexican influencer and singer Kimberly Loaiza. Kimberly began posting videos based around makeup and hair tutorials, but then transitioned to lip-sync videos and challenges with her friends. She began her music career in 2019 by releasing her first single, "Enamorarme." She also has a clothing line and telephone company.

The general @tiktok account on the TikTok app is the eighth most-followed account with 79 million followers! Since it's the official account for the brand, they share a plethora of different kinds of fun and unique videos for users to enjoy and learn from, as well as live footage from the TikTok office!

With nearly 75 million followers, Burak Özdemir comes in at ninth place. He is a Turkish chef who owns two chains of restaurants. He gathered followers by posting videos of himself creating huge versions of Turkish dishes. He wears a huge smile and looks directly at the camera while he prepares his food. That takes some serious coordination skills!

Finally, none other but beloved wrestler and actor Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson rounds out the list as the tenth most followed person on Tiktok. The Rock started out as a wrestler, and has been considered by some one of the greatest wrestlers of all time. He has appeared in films like The Mummy Returns (his first movie), Scorpion King, Jumanji, Moana, and the Fast & Furious films.
